To create a very entertaining show for visitors as well as a major marketing
event for heineken.
The show was divided into three separate segments - Christmas, Pre '99
& New Year' Eve Countdown 1999.
Christmas : The ultimate aim was to get people talking and draw maximum
attention to the Suntec site as a ‘celebration of the Christmas
spirit display’, thus providing the message of Merry Christmas and
happy new year.
Pre-'99 : As the new year drew closer we
began to introduce the elements of, ‘ the new year is coming’
and get ready to ‘countdown 1999’. We began to emphasis on
the Countdown and the celebration party it would be.
New Year's Eve Countdown 1999: This show comprised of playing various
new years celebration type elements and also providing a countdown clock
at midnight with special effects show. Additionally a real-time laser
clock was displayed during the evening. This laser clock was a 60meter
x 60meter size which was shown throughout the evening on towers 2 and
3. We associated Heineken with
the New year countdown strongly with our lasers as the marketing tool.
